Off to the Opera

Last Tuesday, 22nd November, all of TY went to the Swan Cinema in Rathmines, Dublin. We went there to see a recording of the opera Don Giovanni by Mozart. It was recorded the previous week at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.

Don Giovanni is a famous opera by Mozart about a womaniser (Don Giovanni) who faces the consequences of his romantic tendencies. For a full synopsis, click here.
Overall, the TYs enjoyed the day out but some did not like the fact that the opera lasted for almost 4 hours. CaitrĂona wrote a poem about what she thought of the opera and Anita and Aoife expressed their views too.

TYs are studying opera as a module in their music class so now, they will have a greater understanding of the classical art form.
